“We have been at the school for 3 years and could not be happier. We’d gladly recommend it and look forward to spending two more years here.”
– Karen and Josh, parents of 2 ½ year old and 5 year old students
Welcome to The Preschool
The Preschool is a self-supporting, non-profit program conducted as a mission of the Whitehouse United Methodist Church. Its’ roots began in 1969 when a committee of church women determined there was a need for a safe, secure environment for the community’s youngest members to grow, learn and play. Our original mission has continued for over 45 years by offering traditional half-day preschool programs. The Preschool has grown and changed over the years in order to implement the best practices of early childhood education based on current research as well as meeting the needs of our surrounding communities.
The Preschool’s operation is overseen by The Preschool Board of Directors (church, parent, and community members) who sets governing policies which are approved by the church’s Administrative Council. The Preschool’s Director is responsible for daily operations and supervision of a dedicated teaching staff. The church leadership and preschool staff share a steadfast commitment to the individual growth and development of the children entrusted to our care. Our close daily interaction with families allows us to build a dynamic of communication between home and school, thereby providing our children with a positive introduction to their first school experience.
